We have some very exciting news to share!
Thanks to the incredible generosity and kindness of our Lane families and staff, we have received a little over $1,000 in donations! Because of your support, ALL of our students will be able to participate in our Bright Beginnings Tie-Dye Bash!
Mr. Fort and I are extremely grateful and truly cannot thank our Lane families enough. Your generosity has done so much more than help us purchase T-shirts and supplies—it has given our students the opportunity to experience something fun, exciting, and memorable together as a school family.
We know how excited our Yellowjackets have been to tie-dye, and knowing that every student will be able to participate is something very special to us. Your kindness made that possible.
To every family who donated, shared our request, or helped make this event possible: please know how deeply appreciated you are. It means so much to see our Lane community come together for our students. This is exactly what makes our school family so special.
We are currently waiting for our T-shirts and supplies to be delivered. Once we have a confirmed delivery date, we will share the dates for:

Attendance Awareness Month may be ending, but our commitment to student attendance isn't. Supporting attendance is year-round work built on relationships, early intervention, problem-solving & partnership with families. When a student is struggling to attend school, there's often more to the story. Good attendance isn't just a school issue; it's a community effort. Families, schools & community partners all play a role in helping students overcome barriers & stay connected to learning. When a student is struggling to attend, the question isn't simply, “Why aren't you here?” It's also, “What is getting in the way, and how can we help?”
NEW LOST & FOUND PROCEDURE
Lane families, please review our new Lost & Found process:
Monday–Friday: Found items will be placed in our Lost & Found in the recess vestibule.
This Friday, September 25, will be our first Lost & Found clean-out. At dismissal, unclaimed items will be brought to the front of the building. All Lane families are welcome to look through the items and take anything their family may need.
If your scholar has misplaced something, please encourage them to ask their classroom teacher or recess staff for help checking the Lost & Found before Friday.
Due to limited space, we cannot store unclaimed items for extended periods of time. Items that remain unclaimed after Friday will be donated or made available to other families.
Please remind your scholars that they are responsible for keeping track of their personal belongings. Constance Lane is not responsible for lost items or items that are taken by another individual after being made available through Lost & Found.
Thank you for helping us keep our Lost & Found manageable and encouraging our scholars to take responsibility for their belongings!

State Superintendent Dr. Tony Sanders visited Barbour and Constance Lane schools to see innovative learning in action. Students led tours and shared their experiences, while educators highlighted bilingualism, biliteracy, biculturalism, CHAMPS and community partnerships.
