Dear Lane Families,
It's hard to believe, but the first day of school is just three weeks away! We hope your family is enjoying a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and special memories.
As the start of school gets closer, now is the perfect time to begin easing back into school-year routines. Making small changes over the next few weeks can help children feel confident, rested, and ready for a successful first day.
Here are a few ideas to help your family prepare:
* Adjust bedtime and wake-up routines by 10–15 minutes every few days until they match the school schedule.
* Practice morning routines such as getting dressed, eating breakfast, brushing teeth, and packing a backpack.
* Encourage daily reading for 15–20 minutes to keep minds active and build strong literacy habits.
* Limit screen time before bed to help children fall asleep more easily and wake up refreshed.
* Talk positively about school. Ask your child what they are excited about, discuss meeting new friends, and share encouraging stories about learning and growing.
Establishing these routines before school begins helps reduce first-day jitters, improves focus and learning, and makes the transition back to school smoother for the whole family.
We are excited to welcome everyone back soon and look forward to an amazing school year together. More back-to-school information will be shared in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on your email.
Enjoy these last weeks of summer—we can't wait to see your students soon!

Reminder- There is a FREE community event today at Revive Rockford Church from 11a-2p! Groceries, haircuts, backpacks, clothes, games, and more will be available to the community!

As we get closer to the end of the school year, every school day is important! Our students are still learning new skills, completing fun class activities, and getting ready for a strong finish to the year.
We want every child here each day so they can continue learning, spending time with friends, and celebrating all the progress they have made this year. Being at school now helps students feel confident, prepared, and proud of their hard work.
Thank you for your continued support and for making school attendance a priority. Together, we can help all of our students finish the year strong!
